This year there will be three Christingle Services on the afternoon of Christmas Eve, at 3:00, 4:30 and 6:00.
Important Notice for the Christingle and other Christmas Services
As you are all aware the latest variant of COVID-19 ‘Omicron’ is spreading very quickly and is much easier to contract than before. There is a great concern from the authorities about the expected increase in cases, and pressures on our healthcare workforce.
We do have a responsibility to act in the most sensible and safe way for everybody so we need to put further measures in place for our services over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
For all services – we ask that face masks are worn (unless exempt), the hand sanitiser is used and that you take a lateral flow test before attending.
All our services will be live streamed and the link is available on our website – www.stpetersformby.co.uk
Christingle Services – these services have historically the largest numbers attending.
1) If you would like to watch at home on the live stream Christingle bags will be available to collect in the Bier House between 11am and 12.30 along with a service sheet (the Bier House is beside the church gate)
2) We will not squeeze everyone in regardless of numbers this year and we will have a small overflow in the Bier House. But please do not be annoyed if we have reached capacity as we will have some pews roped off. There are three services – 3pm, 4.30 & 6pm. If we have reached capacity then Christingle bags will be available for you to take home.
3) Please note above regarding face masks and lateral flow tests.
Christmas Eve Midnight (11.30pm) and Christmas Day (8.30am & 10am)
We emphasis the use of face masks etc and we will close some pews to create space. Otherwise these three services will continue as normal.
We are really sorry that we have had to bring in these extra measures so close to our services but we hope by doing we will keep everyone safe and we can still celebrate the wonderful message of God’s love this Christmas.
