Confirmation is a special moment in the journey of faith. It is when you say “yes” to the promises made at your baptism, whether by your parents and godparents, or yourself if you were baptised as an adult.
It’s a personal decision to dedicate your life to Jesus and to try your best to live as a Christian. Anyone from Year 5 to adulthood who feels ready to take this step can be confirmed.
We run preparation sessions during March and April for those interested – both young people and adults. These are relaxed and friendly opportunities to learn, and to discuss what confirmation means.
Churches in our deanery take turns each year to host the Confirmation Service. The 2025 service was at St Peter’s Church.
