St Peter’s Church is part of the Eco Church Network. Churches who get involved want to demonstrate that the gospel is good news for God’s earth. Our vision is to care for creation as an integral part of loving our neighbours and following God faithfully. In a time of unprecedented environmental stresses churches need to respond to God’s mandate to human beings to care for His creation, by integrating environmental care throughout their church’s life and mission. That is what we are doing and hope to do better in St Peter’s. We got involved in the Eco Church award scheme to help us focus on what we can do better. The five areas of focus are –
