We are producing children’s resources and useful links each week for Sunday Club at Home.
Children need to know that God loves them at a time when they are feeling worried as everything around them is changing.
Let us continue to learn from God’s amazing story together.
Summer Puzzle Sheets
Sunday Club at Home – 19th July
This will be the last session until September but there will be a puzzle sheet and cartoon clip each week. We hope you have enjoyed Sunday Club at Home and that you enjoy your summer.
Sunday Club at Home – 5th July
I have seen lots of wonderful Rainbows around town, I wondered if you would like to explore the story where the rainbow comes from. Let’s explore the story and see what we find.
Sunday Club at Home – 28th June
Today we are going to explore the story of Peter. Peter was one of the disciples, one of Jesus special friends and Jesus described him as his rock. There are lots of stories about peter in the bible but the story we are going to read today is a very fishy tale! Let’s watch the video and see what we find out.
Sunday Club at Home – 21st June
Today we are celebrating families and in particular the men in your family and the men that are special in your family. It may be your Dad, Grandad, brother or an Uncle. Today’s story is about a family and you are part of this family, lets watch the video and see what happens.
Sunday Club at Home – 14th June
Hope you are keeping safe and well. I hope you enjoyed last week’s activities.
This week we are still thinking about caring for people and being friends with people. Do you have a very special friend or special friends who would do anything for you? Our story today is about a man who really needed the help of his friends. Let us watch or listen to the story and see what happened?
Sunday Club at Home – 7th June
Hope you have enjoyed the sun that we have been having recently. Although things are changing and we can now do things we haven’t been able to do for many weeks, there are people who still need our help and our care. We need to continue to care for people just as Jesus did. What can you do to help and care for people, lets watch and listen to our story today and see how one little boy cared for a lot of people.
Sunday Club at Home – 31st May
Hope you are still well. Today we are celebrating Pentecost. This is the Birthday of the Church, Happy Birthday St Peters!
Pentecost is when the gift of the Holy Spirit came down onto the disciples, the bible describes the Spirit as wind, flames and a dove. If we were in church, there would have been a party like you have when it’s your birthday and defiantly a cake to celebrate.
Sunday Club at Home – 24th May
Hope you are still well, and hope you have enjoyed the lovely weather we have had this week. Our story today is about how Jesus can help us be the very best we can be. Sometimes we do the wrong thing but this story tells us it’s never too late to do the right thing. Let see what the story tells us.
Sunday Club at Home – 17th May
Today we are talking about being kind and to love one another. Our family, friends and even the people we are not very friendly with. You can choose to be kind. Sometimes we forget to be kind. At the moment, we need to be kind to everyone because we are having a tricky time and everyone needs some kindness and love.
Sunday Club at Home – 10th May
Today we are looking at another story about Jesus meeting his friends after he rose on Easter Day. This time he went to where he knew they would be on the lake. I like to call this story breakfast on the beach. Have you ever had breakfast on the beach?
Sunday Club at Home – 3rd May
Today we are going to explore the story of the Good Shepherd.
This reminds me of people that care for us, just the same as God cares for us. Can you think of all the people that Care for Us? I can think of Mums and Dads, Nans and Grandads, Teachers, Doctors and Nurses…… I think you could probably think of more.
Sunday Club at Home – 26th April
Last week we were exploring Thomas and his need to see the marks on Jesus’ hands and feet. Today we are looking at a journey. Two of the disciples were walking to Emmaus and talking about what had been happening in Jerusalem, when they were joined by a stranger who walks with them.
The stranger was Jesus and they didn’t recognise him. It was a long time before they knew it was Jesus. Watch the story and see if you can recognise when they knew it was Jesus. Our theme today is feet and walking, I hope you are walking everyday.
Sunday Club at Home – 19th April
We hope you had a Happy Easter, we also hope you have some Easter Eggs left.
This week we are going to look at the story of Doubting Thomas. Thomas was one of Jesus friends. When Jesus rose from the tomb everyone was happy, but a bit scared, they didn’t know what was happening.
Then Thomas got the news from the other friends that they had seen Jesus. Thomas didn’t believe them he said “unless I actually see him I won’t believe”. I feel a bit sorry for Thomas as it’s hard sometimes to see Jesus when there is lots of sadness around or things are happening that we don’t understand. That is why we are going to focus on HOPE.
Sunday Club for Easter Day
Hi everyone, Happy Easter! Jesus is Risen!!
This is an Easter like we have never seen before, but it doesn’t stop us celebrating. Although it will be different, we won’t be going to our churches, but home can become Church and that is what we are going to explore today. When the women went to the tomb, they were shocked and upset, but when they realised that Jesus was Risen they were excited and happy to see him again.
Let’s explore Easter and what it means
Good Friday Assembly
Rev Poppy and Rev Nathan deliver an assembly about Easter.
Sunday Club at Home – 5th April
As we start Holy Week with the joy of Palm Sunday when everyone was excited, let’s remember what it’s like to be excited. Maybe you get excited when it’s your birthday or you are going to do something that you have been waiting for. The people in Jerusalem where excited to see Jesus and they celebrated by waving Palm leaves and shouting Hosanna.
